We promote and support the 2023 global Wildlife Ranger Challenge, a pan-African initiative.
In particular the Wildlife Ranger Canine Challenge.
To strengthen our cause, GAT FOUNDATION partnered and joined hands with TUSK - Advancing Wildlife Conservation Across Africa.
Our mission is to amplify the impact of progressive conservation initiatives across Africa. Tusk currently supports approximately 90 dynamic and innovative community-based conservation projects across 23 countries throughout Africa. We support over 9,000 ranger livelihoods, protecting 45 endangered species, and preserving over 40 million hectares of wild ecosystems.
This is the fourth year that the Wildlife Ranger Challenge will be taking place. The Wildlife Ranger Challenge seeks to increase support for the ranger workforce by raising vital funds, which will help to widen access to essential equipment, enhanced training and protective measures. The Challenge also seeks to be a catalyst for the development of the “rangering” profession by increasing recognition for the critical roles rangers and canines play.
GAT has partnered up with TUSK.
TUSK - Advancing Wildlife Conservation Across Africa.
For over thirty years, Tusk has supported forward-thinking and successful conservation intervention in Africa. From the plains of the Serengeti to the rainforests of the Congo Basin, TUSK is working towards a future in which people and wildlife can both thrive across the African continent.
Poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict are having a devastating impact on Africa’s wildlife.
GAT Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Man’s best friend has proven to be an invaluable partner in wildlife conservation. With their keen sense of smell, canine conservation heroes have been game-changers in tracking human poaching suspects, locating snares, and finding wounded wildlife. You can help make a difference.
