The charity has earned a reputation for providing a highly efficient solution for funding wildlife conservation programs. We partner with the most effective local organizations, investing in their in-depth knowledge and expertise. By supporting and nurturing their conservation programs, we help accelerate growth from an innovative idea to a scalable solution.
We also build long-lasting relationships with our donors and seek to invest in long-term solutions because sustainable conservation needs sustained funding.
For over 30 years, we have helped pioneer an impressive range of successful conservation initiatives across more than 20 countries, increasing vital protection for over 70 million hectares of land and more than 40 different threatened species. But the threat to Africa’s unique natural heritage remains real and more urgent than ever.
With your generous support, Tusk can, and will, continue to have a positive impact across Africa.
For over thirty years, Tusk has supported forward-thinking and successful African conservation interventions. From the plains of the Serengeti to the rainforests of the Congo Basin, we’re working towards a future in which people and wildlife can both thrive across the African continent.
Poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict devastate Africa’s wildlife. We believe local people and organizations are best positioned to address these threats, but are often under-resourced and lack the recognition they deserve. By partnering with leading and emerging conservationists across Africa, Tusk secures donor funding to invest in the best grassroots conservation initiatives – helping to increase their profile and maximize their impact.
We work with successful local organizations, encouraging and enabling local African leadership, and supporting and nurturing their conservation programs to accelerate growth from an innovative idea to a scalable solution.
We believe strategic conservation can empower local communities and improve livelihoods. We support and promote effective environmental education designed to provide a more sustainable future for the next generation.
It’s an approach that works. Through our partnerships, we continue to witness very significant progress, providing greater protection for over 70 million hectares of land and more than 40 different threatened species, while benefitting more than 7,500,000 people.
At Tusk we build long lasting relationships with our donors and seek to invest in long-term solutions because sustainable conservation needs sustained funding.
With your generous support, Tusk can, and will, continue to have a positive impact in Africa.
Last year Tusk launched the K9 challenge within
the Wildlife Ranger Challenge, providing vital
awareness to the successful use of tracker dogs in
the fight against poaching. This photo is from Lewa
Wildlife Conservancy, one of Tusk’s partners, who
have an impressive anti-poaching rangers and
tracker dog unit.
